FAQs: System Requirements

The Draft Analyzer software was designed for and thoroughly tested on all major windows platforms (Windows XP or Vista is recommended). Some Macs that can run Windows applications may be able to run the Draft Analyzer software however we do not recommend or support this environment.

The general minimum system requirements are as follows:

  • Microsoft® Windows® 1998, 2000, NT, Me or XP
  • Intel® Pentium® III or 4 processor
  • 192MB of RAM (256MB recommended)
  • 40MB of available hard-disk space
  • Screen resolution: 1024 x 768 pixels

For optimal viewing of your draft board, set your screen resolution to 1280 x 1024 pixels or higher. Your width and hieght resolutions may vary slightly, that is fine as our software adjusts to fit your screen.

What version of Java is required to run the program?

  • The Draft Analyzer software was originally built using Java v1.4.2 (circa 2003/2004)
  • The Draft Analyzer software has been tested on every Java update since then and should work with any version of Java greater than v1.4.2
  • The Draft Analyzer can run on Macs with Window's installed, however, this installation set-up has not been tested by us and we are unable to support it at this time
  • You can download the latest version of Java directly from Sun's website here.
